HOW TO ORGANIZE A PREDICTED TIME RACE

Here’s an example of a predicted time race: https://www.webscorer.com/race?raceid=374149

- Participants select their own predicted time that's included as part of the start list
- The race is timed normally, with each participant getting a finish time
- The app will calculate "Adjusted time" to be the difference between "Finish time" and "Predicted time"
- The app & posted results page show both the "Finish time" and "Adjusted time"
- The participant with the closest prediction to thactual time is the winner

If you’re posting a start list via file upload, include a “Predicted time” column with the format HH:MM:SS for each racer.  You can download the start list for this race by clicking on “Download start list / Excel XLS file” on this page: https://www.webscorer.com/startlist?raceid=374149.

If you’re using Webscorer online registration to allow each racer to self-report their predicted time as part of their reg page entry, use this option in reg setup:

You can also create the start list directly on the app and add / edit the predicted time for each racer by tapping the racer name on the “Start List” panel.

To view the app setup for this race, follow these steps with the Webscorer PRO app:

Navigate to the app's home panel
Tap “Race with start list”
Tap “Download start list from Webscorer.com”
Tao “Search for results”
Tap the “Race ID” field, key in 374149 and tap Enter
Navigate to the “Results Options” panel to see “Predicted time” options

Once results are posted, you can set the default time shows to be “Adjusted time” which is the calculated difference between actual finish time and the predicted time.  Click on the “Edit race info” menu button to set the defaults per attached screenshot.
