One of the unique features in Webscorer online registration is a feature called "Series registration". For example:

 

- You have a race on both Saturday and Sunday

- You want to allow racers to sign up for either Saturday's race or Sunday's race
- But you also want to encourage racers (by offering a discount) to sign up for both days

 

 

1. You'd setup the registration for Saturday's race
2. You'd setup the registration for Sunday's race
3. You'd create a series registration that combines the two
4. You'd publish 3 links:
    - URL #1 = Saturday only
    - URL #2 = Sunday only
    - URL #3 = Saturday & Sunday

5. The start lists are automatically created for both Saturday's and Sunday's races

 

We just updated the website with a feature that makes this more flexible:

 

1. You'd setup the registration for Saturday's race
2. You'd setup the registration for Sunday's race
3. You'd create a series registration that combines the two
    - New option allows you to specify whether racers must sign up for both races
    - If set, racers can choose to sign up for one of the races, or both
4. You'd publish just one link:
    - URL #1 = Saturday / Sunday or both
    - You'd set the individual registrations as "Private" and the series registration as "Public"
    - This way the racers will only find the series registration

 

 

1. You can now setup a series registration that stays open past the first race in the series
2. Racers can choose all or just a few races to register from the list of races presented on the series registration page
3. You can setup a discount schedule that gives a higher discount percentage for signing up for more races at once
    - Example: a race series consisting of 4 races
    - Sign up for 4 races = 20% off each entry fee
    - Sign up for 3 races = 15% off each entry fee
    - Sign up for 2 races = 10% off each entry fee
    - Sign up for 1 race = No discount
4. The series does not need to be updated after initial setup – the discount table is adjusted as races are completed

 

Benefits to race organizers:
    - Only one registration URL to publish for all your races
    - Way to advertise your other races while racer is focused on signing up for one
    - Incent racers through a discount to sign up for multiple races

 

Benefits to racers:
    - Get a discount for signing up for multiple races at once
    - Avoid having to enter information multiple times in a row
    - Pay once to sign up for multiple races
