I recognize that running a road race (the “Event”) is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and run unless I am medically able and properly trained. By participating in the Event, I affirm that a licensed physician has verified my good health and physical condition to participate in the Event. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the Event. I assume all risks associated with running in this Event including, but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including cold, snow, and/or ice, high heat and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. If I experience any pain or discomfort during the Event, I will listen to my body, discontinue the activity, and ask for support from the event staff. I assume full responsibility for any and all damages, which may incur through participation in the Event. In the event of an illness, injury or medical emergency arising during the event I hereby authorize and give my consent to the Event Director to secure from any accredited hospital, clinic and/ or physician any treatment deemed necessary for my immediate care. I agree that I will be fully responsible for payment of any and all medical services and treatment rendered to me including but not limited to medical transport, medications, treatment and hospitalization.
Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the organizers of the RUNLUDINGTON Race Series, RunLudington, LLC, its directors, members, managers officers, staff, and volunteers, any locations for pre-Event registration or post-Event gatherings and their representatives and employees, the City of Ludington, MI and its employees from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. Further, I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose. |
