Entry Requirements

Entry is open to all Masters Swimming Members, Swimming SA Members 14 yrs and older, Non Member Adults 18yrs and older

Entry Fee

MSSA and Swimming SA Members:$50; Non-members: $55 ($50 plus $5.00 Insurance) and Late Entry: $60 

Late Entry

Subject to race entrant cap of 120 not being exceeded, late entries may be accepted on race day. Masters Swimming members who are late entrants will be designated as Non-member entrants and their results will not be counted in their club points total.

Registration:

8.30 am on the beach in front of the Seacliff Patrol Tower - Esplanade Seacliff

Race:

The Pub to Pub swim will be a 1,600m Handicap event from the beach in front of the Seacliff Beach Hotel (Seacliff Patrol Tower) at Seacliff to the Brighton Jetty. Check-in will be on the beach from 8.30am to 9.30am in front of the Seacliff Beach Hotel and swimmers’ bags will be transported to the finish-line at the Brighton Jetty. 

Start Time:

10am

Race Details:

From the start line on the beach competitors will start in waves based on their handicap time. Competitors will  swim north towards Brighton Jetty. Finish line will be just south of the Brighton Jetty. Swimmers will finish on the beach as close to the water's edge as possible.

Presentations:

Presentation of prizes and results will be held on the beach as soon as possible after the event.

Refund policy

If the event is cancelled prior to the day of the event, a refund will be provided to swimmers and swimmers will be notified via email to their registered email address.

Swimmer's Duty of Care & Entrant Declarations

Open Water Swimming is potentially risky. The Organisers have taken all reasonable actions to minimise risks to all participants. Swimmers in any Event are required to acknowledge their Duty of Care to themselves, Organisers and other Swimmers.

Fitness and Duty of Care Declaration - All entrants must accept. 

I declare:

• That I have properly trained for and am fully satisfied that I am physically fit to compete and have prepared for the Event in similar conditions such that I can complete the Event without undue distress.

 • That I am medically fit in that I am not aware of any medical or related limitation that may prevent me from completing the Event without undue distress.

 I declare

• I will obey all the race rules including leaving the water at any stage if requested by an official.

• Not cause harm to any other Swimmer or Official.

Fitness and Waiver Declaration - All entrants must accept. "I, the undersigned participant, intending to be legally bound, hereby certify that I am physically fit and have not been otherwise informed by a physician. I acknowledge that I am aware of all the risks inherent in exercising (training and competition), including possible permanent disability or death, and agree to assume all of those risks. As a condition of participation, I the undersigned, hereby assume all risk of injury to myself and absolve and hold harmless all coaches, members, officials, staff and administrators of Masters Swimming South Australia and/or any other facility administering organizations from any and all claims for losses injuries and/or all consequential damages including attorney fees incurred as a result of any and all Masters Swimming South Australia workouts, competitions, events and activities associated with Masters Swimming South Australia, whether these losses, injuries and/or consequential damages occur as a result of my sole and/or partial negligence and/or that any and all coaches, members, officials, staff and administrators of Masters Swimming South Australia and/or any other facility administering organizations."
