Race Information

Sunday 6th October 2024

Start Line: Deep Water Point, Mount Pleasant 

Finish Line: Gilbert Fraser Reserve, North Fremantle

Distance: 13km 

Note: portaging across the Point Walter Sandbar is not permitted

Racer Check-In Open<7.00 - 8.00am

Briefing/Welcome<<8.00 - 8.15am

Race Start 8.30 - 8.40am.

 

Outriggers, Va'as, Dragon Boats - Team boat members all register individually

When putting PA number in, write PA and your PA number e.g. PA123456. If your number is less than 6 digits, put zeros in front to make 6 e.g. PA001234. Write your Date of Birth like this: 1999-06-01. Presentations 11.00am or earlier if possible

 

Classes This race is organised according to ICF rules so enter the age category you are on the 1st January 2024 - 3 craft for Male and/or Female to form a category for a class. Open class will be constituted first in each craft class, and classes constituted by age thereafter. The race organisers reserve the right to combine craft to form a class. If you are unsure of your category, enter as Sundry and email admin@paddlewa.asn.au providing your craft, gender and age. Note: LP - long plastic skis; S1 - composite surf skis.

 

Life jackets are not compulsory for this race, however are recommended as the Perth open waters can be challenging in windy conditions. Please ensure your craft has sufficient buoyancy in the event of capsize.

The top male and female paddler to reach Canning Bridge will be awarded a cash prize subject to the following terms: Must register before closing date - Must finish the 13km course - Compete in a single craft (K1, S1) - Attend the presentation
