Held annually for over two decades, the Methow Valley Summer Training camp brings skiers from across the region together for a final opportunity to gather with friends to train hard in a beautiful setting, before returning to the books and a new school year. Rollerskiing, trail running, hiking, bounding, games and strength workouts will comprise 6 days of amazing training alongside your regional teammates.
This summer we’re headed to Whistler and Callaghan Valley BC, to take advantage of the 2010 Olympic facilities and enjoy the Coast Range!
This camp is meant for U16+ skiers. It will be a big week of training (14+ hours) so skiers should be actively training for skiing through the summer and skiers should be experienced and skilled on their rollerskis to make sure they are ready for the terrain and trails of the Olympic track. Without diving further into specifics, this would mean a minimum AVERAGE weekly training volume of 8-8.5 hours for the previous 2 months. Email Pete (pete@mvnsef.org) with questions or if you need more details.
