After postponement of the initial date, the final race in the Kayak Krazy winter series for 2023 will be held in conjunction with the CRNZ Tikitapu 1 Sprint event, in the afternoon following sprint racing on Sunday 3rd December at Lake Tikitapu in Rotorua.
Not only is it it worth double series points, It is also the Canoe Racing NZ 10km National Championships, with paddlers eligible for national medals in all kayak divisions.
The Kayak Krazy 10km Winter series is made up club-run paddling races around New Zealand to keep all paddlers active and connected over the winter months.
This is the final race in the series, worth double points - if you've raced two or more of other series races you could be up for a series win, as well as in the draw for a $300 travel voucher spot prize thanks to Worldwide Travellers Gisborne!
Open to anyone who wants to come and paddle- K1, multicraft boats (skis, multisport boats, sea kayaks, recreational craft), SUP, Waka Ama and K2/Doubleskis.
Age groups/distances/categories will be:

- 12&Under – 2-3km
- 14&U, 16&U, recreational – 5-6km
- SUP- all ages 7-8km
- 18&U, Open, Masters – 10km
- K2/Double Skis– 10km
Masters age groups will be split into 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65+, depending on sufficient numbers in each category.
Recreational 5km division is not a Kayak Krazy series division, but there for people who want to get on the water, paddle/race but not do 10km.
Race Day Schedule:
Racing schedule may change based on the Tikitapu race programme which will be finalised 10days prior to the event. Final schedule will be confirmed following this.

Entry Fees:
Free for paddlers entered in the Tikitapu Sprint event.
If not competing in the Sprint racing:
10km paddlers $30.00
2.5 and 5km paddlers $20.00
