Course:

Note that course is now three laps of lower course due to high flow and debris from Pinjarra to Ravenswood

Start:
Ravenswood in line with Timing Tent

Leg 1:
Downstream, right and round Jeegarnyeejip Island anticlockwise and back to Ravenswood Bridge. Right turn marked by 5knot speed sign on the island, straight ahead and a red channel marker to the left [looking down stream]. Go to the right of the channel marker.

Return upstream, under Ravenswood Bridge, left hand turn repeat. Total of three laps for Full Course

Relay handover once the handing over paddler is through the bridge. Relay paddlers need to know number of first paddler and call it out to Check Pt marshalls and Timer at the end

Finish:
In line with the Start Tent

Race Time & Paddler Fatigue Management:

Minimum Speed: 8.5km/hr average, Cut-off time for each leg = 1hr 50mins [includes teams & relay] I.E. All racers back before 2.00pm will be timed. If a race official says you are no longer part of the race, thats it. They will help you though.

Hazards:
Boat traffic particularly in S Yunderup
Shallow and debris close to shore, don’t cut the corners

Safety Management:
Look out for each other, Inform the safety boat if you are struggling
