PATH May Day 5k

Join us for this inaugral May Day 5k fundraiser for PATH! This is an out and back course along the Ane Keohokalole walking path. Participants will meet at the West Hawaii Civic center at 74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Hwy and the race will begin on the walking path just south of the Civic Center and Kealakehe Parkway. Participants will start on the trail and head south towards Palani Road before turning at the aid station and heading back towards Kealakehe Parkway. Since the route is on the walking path, there are no road closures for this race. 

Registration fee is $35 per person

PATH-People for Active Transportation Hawaii is a community-based, grassroots 501(c)(3) non-profit public access advocacy organization serving Hawaii County. Our mission is to safely connect people and places on Hawaii Island with pathways and bikeways. PATH was founded in 1986 in response to a growing need for places to walk, bike and hike safely and legally in Hawaii County. This event will be a fundraiser to continue providing free bike education classes to keiki, assist in promoting safe walking and biking on Hawaii Island and continue expansion of the HIBIKE bikeshare program. 

Packet pickup for the race will be on race day from 6 a.m.-6:30 a.m. at the West Hawaii Civic Center in the gazebo.
