The “Chocolate Bunny 5K/Kids Run” is a fundraiser to benefit Kids Need To Read. Their mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children by providing books and engaging literacy programs to underfunded schools, libraries, and organizations nationwide. The race is a fun, family run/walk on a beautiful Saturday morning with all ages and ability levels welcome!
Cost: $35 5K, Kids 1 Mile $25 (Prices increase April 14th). Limited to 200 runners.
Register early to save your spot! All finishers receive a Chocolate Bunny Medal, bib, wristband and raffle entry! No packet pickup is necessary!
Race day check in starts from 6:30 - 7:45 am. The 5K starts at 8:00 am and is chip timed with age group awards in 15 categories. Water, snacks and popsicles will be provided.
The flat course follows the canal and is located at AZ Falls, 5802 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018 with overflow parking located at the Lutheran church, just North of the park off 56th Street.
Kids 1 Mile Run (16 and under, live race only): Check in between 8 - 8:45 am. Start time will be 9 am. Kids may run 1 mile or less to earn their Chocolate Bunny Medal and special treat at the finish. (No timing or awards) **Parents may run with their child for free, but use the Virtual or 5K registration option to receive a medal.
Virtual option: If you can’t make the date, you may run your race virtually on any day, time or course that you choose. Simply report back your finishing time on RunYourRaceAZ.com. Race packets will be mailed during race week, if not available sooner. (The Kids Race IS NOT available as a Virtual).
Our events are both dog and stroller friendly, but the course does include a short trail section that is not paved.
