The Edgy Walks provide an enjoyable and rewarding day out with approx 9 miles of hiking over moorland trails and footpaths as well as the rocky edges towering high above the Derwent Valley. 

 

You will be guided by experienced, friendly and knowledgeable mountain leaders. Each mountain leader is qualified in outdoor first aid and carries a first aid kit and emergency shelter.

Meet Longshaw Estate Woodcroft car park (pay & display) at 9am ready for a walking departure by 9.15am. 

Mandatory kit:

Hiking boots - supportive, comfortable and broken in

Full waterproof cover - hooded coat and overtrousers

Personal first aid kit / medication

Sufficient food and drink for a walk
