ATHLETE’S WAIVER and RELEASE:In consideration of your acceptance of my entry and other considerations, I hereby, on behalf of myself, my heirs, my executors, administrators, successors, personal representatives and assigns (“Participant”), waive, release and forever discharge THE THUNDER BAY METRE EATER RUNNING CLUB including ITS OFFICIALS, SPONSORS, AFFILIATED ORGANIZATIONS and ORGANIZERS and all their respective agents and representatives from any and all actions, causes of action, claims, demands or rights for any and all damages or losses of any nature or kind whatsoever arising from my participation in 2025 Meatball RUN (“Event”).I acknowledge and verify that: 1. I have full knowledge and appreciation of the RISKS involved in participating in such an Event. I recognize that participation in the Event is a potentially hazardous activity and I willingly assume all risks associated with such participation including, but not limited to: a. Falls, trips or slips, b. contact with other participants, spectators or others, or vehicular or other traffic; c. the effects of the weather, including heat and/or humidity, wind, cold temperature, and wet or icy surfaces; d. the natural terrain including uneven surfaces, cracks, obstacles, hurtles, potholes or any other trip, slip or fall hazard, naturally occurring or man-made; e. falling tree branches or other overhead objects; f. the crowded nature and other conditions of the course; g. any equipment related to the Event; and h. the potential for COVID 19 exposure. 2. I am physically fit, medically able and sufficiently trained to participate in this Event. 3. I will follow all precautionary and safety measures implemented to prevent loss or injury to any participant, organizer or any other person attending the Event including, but not limited to, safety measures and protocols implemented to prevent any spread of COVID 19. 4. I consent to the reproduction of any photographs, video and voice recordings of me in any advertising or promotions for this Event. 5. I have carefully read this WAIVER and RELEASE and I am voluntarily executing having understood the risks and warnings contained herein. |
