The Roadrunners are happy to announce that membership fees have been used to purchase race timing equipment. This timing equipment allows us to help local race directors with digital timing. More information on this will be shared in the new year.

**We've updated the point series based on your feedback! Find information on the updated point series below:

Races

• • Must do a minimum of 4 point series races (there are 12 in total).
  • Must volunteer a minimum of one event or race (this is including kids races)
  • Best of 6 results in the series races count.
  • If you race more than 6 times your worst results will be eliminated.
  • 10% more points for Premiere Races (there are 5).
  • 20 bonus points for every time a member volunteers with the club.
  • Awards presented at the end of the year to the top 3 in each 10-year age group as well as top volunteer.

Premiere Races (10% Bonus)

• • Long John Jaunt (10k)
  • Ben Buffet (10K)
  • Peter Hanna (5 miles)
  • Louisbourg Slush run (5 miles)
  • Cape Breton Fiddlers Marathon (half marathon)
  • Johnny Miles (5k)

Other Point Series Races

• • Louisbourg Race Through Time (8 miles)
  • Fiddlers (all Distances)
  • Run Mabou
  • Marion Bridge 10K
  • Course de L’Escaouette
  • One  of any other calendar race of your choice (runners responsibility to let us know which race they would like us to use)

Participation in the point series will be optional. Those who choose to participate will have access to point standings which will be updated after each race.
