Please join us for the Battlers Knob 5K Ruck & Run on November 9th - it will be a challenging course with lots of spirited competition, some awesome swag, and family fun! Registration opens at 8 am. Race will begin at 10 am. Post Race R&R Party will last til 1 pm.
This will be an unique 5K closed course around a former college campus with several various inclines. A course map will be provided as race day approaches. Options include walking, running, and rucking. Those who want to ruck will need to carry an extra 20 pounds on their bodies if over 150 pounds in weight or an extra 10 pounds on their bodies if 149 pounds or less. Weight will be checked at race day registration. No one under the age of 18 is permitted to ruck. Age limit is 10 years old and up - all participants under the age of 18 must have their parents or legal guardians grant permission below and be present the day of the event.

Solo Runner Female (overall and age group winners)
Solo Ruck Male (overall and age group winners)
Solo Ruck Female (overall and age group winners)
Solo winners will receive awards in addition to the finisher medals all other participants will get.
We will also have prizes for the participant who travels from the farthest distance, the youngest participant, and the oldest participant.
WALKERSmust register as a solo run participant and will not be eligible for awards, but they will be guaranteed tshirts and finisher medals if registered prior to OCTOBER 25TH.
Everyone who registers on or before before OCTOBER 25TH will be guaranteed a tshirt and finisher medallion. Those who register after October 25th are not guaranteed a tshirt or medallion, but we will do our best to make that happen on race day. You may upgrade your tshirt to a long sleeve tshirt for an extra fee during online registration. All registrants will receive an event specific bib that coordinates with the tshirts and finisher medallions.
The first 50 people who register will receive a swag bag filled with things to make your run or ruck more enjoyable - you won't want to miss out on it!
Active duty military personnel and veteran participants that register before October 25th will receive a commemorative Challenge Coin in addition to the tshirt and medallion, as Battlers Knob's way of thanking you for your service. We will try to make these available for race day registrations as well, but they are not guaranteed.
There will be a Post-Race R&R Party that includes free food and drinks (for participants only - food will be available for purchase for others), family oriented activities, cornhole, and an airsoft rifle/pistol competition. Each participant will receive 5 tickets for a Raffle of various runner and veteran related items to be given away at the R&R Party. Additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase, as well.
This 5K Ruck & Run is being held in conjunction with several other events that are planned at Battlers Knob that day in honor of our Nation's veterans for Veterans Day. There will be a Field of Flags Ceremony you may participate in if you choose and a Quilts of Valor Presentation in the afternoon that day. Battlers Knob is proud to support our veterans and proceeds from the day's events will be donated to our local veterans organizations.
Payments will appear on your card to Elite Events. No refunds or registration transfers are allowed for this event.
