Bridges is a fast paced 5 km race on the Gorge waterway in Victoria. Heats will run throughout the day (9 am to 3 pm) with divisions for novices, men, women, mixed and junior crews. Gender and mixed crews run separately allowing paddlers to race in multiple divisions.
Register soon, space is limited! Registration closes Sept. 27th or when we have a full race-grid - whichever comes first! A waitlist will be started.
All team members , must complete the club's online waiver before race day. Paddlers that competed at Island Iron OC6 or OC1 race may not need to do the waiver if one was completed at that time. Pls share the waiver link with all team members.
All racers need to be CORA members. Either an annual or single event CORA membership can be purchased from the CORA web site at https://canadianoutrigger.ca/store/become-a-member/. For single event memberships, ensure you choose the correct event (Bridges-OC6).
Canoes: Spec canoes for the OC6 race are provided, just bring your crew, paddles and pfd! PFDs must be Canadian Coast Guard Certified.
Race Location: Latitude 48 docks (accessed from a gate at the end of Herald street behind value village).
Please Note: There is a $10 processing fee for cancelling a registered team to cover the cost of administration.
