GPC Keats Chop

Welcome to the registration page for the second annual Keats Chop Small Boat Paddle Race!  This event is being hosted by the Gibsons Paddle Club, located on the Sunshine Coast.  Check out our  GPC Keats Chop Facebook page for more information, including course maps.  

Note - all racers must be able to perform a self rescue.

Event Details

• Race Date - Saturday, July 27, 2024
• Registration Deadline - Thursday, July 25, 2024
• Limited to 70 paddlers
• Check in location - Gibsons Paddle Club located at 675 Prowse Road, Gibsons
• Check in table opens at 8:30.  All racers must check in by 10 am.
• Waiver forms will be emailed to all registrants and must be submitted at check in.
• Race bibs provided.
• Race Start - 11 A.M.  The start may be divided into 2 waves.
• Course - short 5km; long 14 km
• Safety Boats will be on course.
• Participants must complete the race within 3 hours.
• Post race BBQ included with registration fee.
• Draw prizes
• Summer weekends are busy on the Sunshine Coast.  We suggest that paddlers coming from out of town book ferry reservations and accomodation early!

Race Registration Fees

$50 per person (tandem teams $100)

Please include Keats Chop, your name and whether your fee includes a second meal in the message field (eg Keats Chop John Doe, 2nd meal).
