Welcome to the Castle to Crane 2024 registration page.
Castle to Crane - Scotland's biggest open water rowing race is back and we are excited to announce that entries for our 2024 race are now open. The race will take place as part of the Clydebuilt Festival on Saturday 7th of September, starting at Sandpoint Marina, Dumbarton and finishing at the Finnieston Crane, in the heart of Glasgow. Prize giving and party to celebrate at the Clydebuilt Festival on the Quayside afterwards!
Some notes about the event
Boats with four or more rowing/sculling will be £140, boats with 3 or less rowing/sculling will be £80. Prices are inclusive of VAT.
Please remember that all boats must have at least four oars/sculls and a cox.
Each boat must have a designated contact person, who MUST be onboard. If you're unsure about your crew or if there are any changes, that's okay, but be sure to let us know before the close of entries on August 18th, by emailing race@clydebuiltfestival.com. This person will be responsible for their team's boat, from the launch through to recovery. We need their mobile number and their commitment to read, understand, and follow instructions for the race and its logistics on behalf of the whole crew.
Don't forget to inform us of the number of people in your boat, as we need to make sure we have sufficient safety cover for everyone on the water. If your plans change after registration, please inform us so we can update our records.
Finally, if you'd like a souvenir T-shirt of your 2024 race, these will go on sale on the 1st of June 2024 - head over to the festival's website shop at www.clydebuiltfestival.com to place an order before registration closes on August 18th at 11pm.
Thank you for joining us this year and good luck!
