Kayak Krazy 10km Winter series Race #3- Hawkes Bay

The Kayak Krazy 10km Winter series is made up of club-run paddling races around New Zealand to keep all paddlers active and connected over the winter months. 

The third race in the 2023 series is kicking off on the 12th of August in Maraekakaho Hawkes Bay, hosted by the Hawkes Bay Kayak Racing Club on Glazebrooks Lake, Roys Hill.

Open to K1, multicraft boats (skis, multisport boats, recreational craft), and Waka Ama.

Age groups/distances/categories will be:

• 12&Under –  2km                                                 Entry Fee $10
• 14&U, 16&U  6km                                                Entry Fee $10
• Waka ama (all ages) – 6km                                 Entry Fee $10
• 18&U, Open, Masters – 10km  (with portages)    Entry Fee $20

Race Day Schedule:

10.45am- Registration
11:45.am Race Briefing
12:00pm  - Race starts
Prizegiving will be held as soon as possible following the race (approx 2 pm)

Getting to Glazebrooks Lake- 

3005 State Highway 50- 200m past Highway 50 turn off, through the Vineyard.
