Matariki Night Race

To celebrate Matariki, the Māori New Year, the Nelson Mountain Bike Club are holding a
night race down Firball where everyone will ride down with their night lights, representing the
Matariki star cluster.

This will be a fun and social event, and as custom with Māori tradition and values we will
come together with the sharing of food and drink at the end. This will be a BBQ and a drink
provided by Two Thumbs Brewery for those over 18 years of age. Soft drinks and water will also be
provided to our younger participants.

Proceeds from this event will go towards the Super D Scholarship.

The registration is $15 and is at Lower Firball Skid and where we will also have the BBQ after the race.

Rego: 4.30pm-6pm

Last rider down at 6.45pm

Prizegiving: 7.30pm
