Youth Outrigger Canoe

Challenge 2025 


The 2025 YOCC is Singapore's first Youth Outrigger Canoe event to be held in Southeast Asia’s biggest ocean. Each course will start and finishes at Siloso Beach and will stay within the blue barrels along the Sentosa Coastline, making this event the best introduction to ocean paddling in Singapore.

RACE SCHEDULE & RACE COURSE - will be  available from 13 April 2025.

 

 

Age Categories

  • U23     Born 2002-2005

 

Race Categories

  • OC12 Mixed Crew 5000M - 12 person canoe (Minimum 6 women, Max 11 participants per team, Steer will be provided)

 

Registration Fees  

$25.00 per participant

 

***All competitors receive a race pack that includes ***

  • Vaikobi Official Race Cap (worth $35)
  • Vaikobi Waterproof Phonecase (worth $30) 
  • Race Hydration Supplies from Red Dot Running Company

 

 

All OC12 TEAM Registrations

Each individual is required to register, please indicate your TEAM NAME when registering in a team event

 

 

Race Equipment

ALL Race & Safety equipment will be provided by the organsiers. 

All you need to do is get your team, train and join us!

 

 

Cancellation & Refunds
To cancel your registration please send an email to yocc@canoeacademy.com before 15th May 2025.

A full refund will be given for cancellations made BEFORE or on 15/5/25.

An adminstrative charge of $2.50 per paddler will apply.

No refunds will be given AFTER 15/5/25.

 

 

Race Check In
Race check in will close 1 hour prior to the race start

 

 

Race Safety Gear

  • All craft will have safety equipment and paddles onboard, these must remain with the craft at all times
  • In the event that you have your own paddle, please inform the Race Marshall  and they will swap out the equipment for you, do not remove equipment from the canoe at anytime
  • It is mandatory to wear a PFD during all races
  • All race competitors must wear the event cap during the race

LETTER OF WAIVER AND INDEMNITY TO CANOEACADEMY PTE LTD (“CANOEACADEMY”)

Re:  Youth Outrigger Canoe Challenge (“the Event”)

 

I warrant that I am in good health and have no physical condition that would endanger my life while participating in the Event.

 

Whilst reasonable precaution will be taken by CanoeAcademy and/or its agent/s to ensure the safety of participants, I understand that I take part in the Event as a participant at my own risk. I confirm and agree that CanoeAcademy and/or its agent/s will not be held liable by me for any personal injury or death arising from my participation in the Event or for any loss of or damage to my property arising from my participation in the Event, except for such injury or death that is caused directly by CanoeAcademy’s or its agent/s’ gross negligence.

 

In consideration of CanoeAcademy allowing me to participate in the Event, I undertake that if, in the course of the Event, I deliberately or negligently cause any injury (whether fatal or otherwise) to any person or any damage to or loss of any property of any person, I shall indemnify CanoeAcademy if that suffering person makes claims or takes actions against CanoeAcademy or CanoeAcademy has to pay for costs or expenses. 

 

MEDIA AND PHOTO RELEASE WAIVER

 I grant CanoeAcademy and its partners permission to photograph, record, and use my likeness, voice, or image in connection with the Event for promotional, media, and lawful purposes without compensation. All media remains the property of the Organizer. I release the Organizer and its affiliates from any claims related to the use of my image or recordings. If under 18, a parent/guardian must sign.
