2024 VAIKOBI 14 BEACHES OCEAN RACE and 2024 PADDLE AUSTRALIA CANOE OCEAN RACING CHAMPIONSHIPS
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2024 Paddle Australia Canoe Ocean Racing Championships as part of the Vaikobi 14 Beaches Ocean Race weekend.
The 2023 edition of 14 Beaches saw over 200 paddlers take to the pristine waters of the Gold Coast for an amazing downwind paddle from Kurrawa to Bilinga and the 2024 edition is looking to be bigger and better with a two day window allocated to ensure the event is run with the best
downwind conditions.
To start the weekend on the right foot, a sponsor demo and novice event is scheduled from 12pm on Friday at the Tallebudgera Creek Beach (More details to come). On race day an event hub will be set up at Paula Stafford Park Kurrawa which will also see our 2024 Champions crowned during the medal ceremony.
2024 PA CANOE OCEAN RACING TEAM SELECTION EVENT
The 2024 Paddle Australia Canoe Ocean Racing Championships will not only crown the 2024 Paddle Australia Ocean Racing Champions but will also serve as the selection event for the 2024 Paddle Australia Canoe Ocean Racing Team (Members ONLY) to represent Paddle Australia at the 2024 ICF Canoe Ocean Racing World Championships in Portugal over the 4-6th of October.
REGISTRATIONS:
Each paddler must be registered separately.
KEY DATES:
Early Bird Rates: 1st to 30th June
Standard Rates: 1st to 28th July
Late Rates: 29th to 31st July
RACE FEES PER PERSON: Includes Race Shirt (300)* and Tracking Chip
- Early Bird: $90 for PA/PQ Members and $114 for Non-Members
- Standard: $130 for PA/PQ Members and $154 for Non-Members
- Late: $150 for PA/PQ Members and $174 for Non-Members*
* Shirt Size may not be available for Late entries due to Early Bird and Standard Entry requirements.
AGE GROUPS:*
- You must be 15 by the event date to compete.
- Please enter the age group for the age you will be at 31/12/2024.
- Only Paddlers 18+ can enter the Senior/Open Age Group.
- Junior Age Groups: 15-16 and 17-18
- Under 23 Age Groups: 19-21 and 22-23
- Senior/Open Age Group: 18+
- Masters Age Groups: 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
*Age groups may be combined to form a class based on entries received.
2024 PA CANOE OCEAN RACING CHAMPIONSHIPS CLASSES:
- Junior, Under 23, Senior/Open, Master Men and Women single: SS-1 / SLSA-1 / SUP / OC-1
- Junior, Under 23, Senior/Open, Master Men, Women or Mixed double: SS-2 / SLSA-2 / OC-2
