YOG & USSMA RACE GEAR REQUIREMENTS

Sunday, November 24

Sprint Race – 9 AM Start time - Sprint-style short race on single run.



NO DAY OF REGISTRATION! REG CLOSES SATURDAY AT 11:59PM SHARP!!! NOVEMBER 23

WARM UP OFF COURSE - 7AM - 8AM (UP Bonanza and DOWN Sunset runs.)
RACER WARM UP ON COURSE 8:20AM - 8:50AM
RACE START 9AM





Starting at 9:00 AM each racer will race the sprint course in a time trial format. The racers will race alone and depart every 30-45 seconds. Depending on the total number of racers, 6-16 racers will advance to a semi final race (or just a final race if the group is small). The semi-finals will be raced ski-cross style with 6-8 racers racing at the same time. The top 3 racers from the semi finals will advance to the finals.
Awards ceremony will be held near the West Wing Deck around 12:30pm.

“Race Category” Specific Rules and Gear Requirements:

A pack that can carry skis
Goggles, helmet shield or sunglasses
Skis must be alpine style skis with metal edges (NO split boards)
Climbing skins
