Start at Tata Beach, course TBC. Long Course option 1200m, Short Course option 600m.
Organized in collaboration with the Golden Bay Swim Club, this event is hosted under the auspices of the Nelson Tri Club.
Race Day Schedule
9:15 am Check-in opens
9:45 am Check-in closes (no late entries or check-ins)
9:50 am Race briefing ALL swimmers must be out of the water, on the beach, ready for the swim and listen carefully to the race briefing.
10:00 am Race start

Short Course 600m

Note: Please bring own swim cap.
Given the nature of the event and the challenges of tide and wave conditions, it is important that all athletes feel comfortable and confident swimming 500m front crawl, whilst making significant forward progress at all times. Adherence to this requirement will be at the sole discretion of the race director.
