Event notes

The Bremerton Marathon will host it's 4th annual race on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

Course Details

The race course will be similar to previous years, with some alterations.  Please note this is a very challenging marathon/half due to the number of large hills throughout the courses.  It is not recommended for beginners or those looking for a PR course.  It is also run on mostly open roads, with a few street crossings, so please plan accordingly.  We will have plenty of aid stations throughout the course and porta-potties as often as possible.

Per our insurance requirements runners may not have headphones/earbuds, strollers, or pets during the race.

Race Times

Marathon - 7:00 a.m. Start at Evergreen Rotary Park in Bremerton, WA.

Half - Marathon - 9:00 a.m. - Silverdale - exact location for the starting line - TBD

Both the Marathon and Half-Marathon end at Evergreen Rotary Park in Bremerton, WA.

Course Time-Limits

The marathon has a 7 hour time limit and the half marathon has a 5 hour time limit.  Please plan accordingly.  Up to date maps and information on our website and facebook page.

Race Check-in

Friday: Please join us April from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. to grab your race packets, bibs, and t-shirts. This will save you time Saturday morning and make race morning run a lot smoother for everyone. Location for packet pick-up - TBA.

Saturday: For those of you not able to make it Friday, we'll have a brief race check-in Saturday at the starting line. That will be at Evergreen Park for the Marathon (6:15 a.m. - 6:45 a.m.) and at in Silverdale (8:00 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.) for the Half-Marathon.

Minor Policy

Half-Marathon - may be run by a runner 12 years of age or older. We'd encourage parents/guardians entering younger youth (12 -15) to monitor their child closely either by having an adult run with them or by checking up on them frequently by bike or car to make sure they are not lost or in distress. Older youth 16+ may run the event without supervision although depending on the runner's experience and ability more direct support may be appropriate. All runners are encouraged to complete a half-marathon training program, including at least one run 10+ miles before the event as this will set up the runner for the best chance of success.

Marathon - may be run by a runner 16 years of age or older. Due to the intense nature of the marathon it is highly recommended that all minors, and even adults who are new to the marathon, have someone available for support if they need help during the race, especially in the later miles. We'll try and have volunteers out there watching for runners, but can't have eyes on the entire 26 miles at all times. We encourage all runners to complete a marathon training program, including at least one 20+ mile run, before the event as this will set up the runner for the best chance of success.
