Get ready for an adrenaline-fueled experience at the Shoe Clinic MTB Duathlon Race 2, now taking the excitement to a NEW location at Cable Bay Adventure Park. Join us for another thrilling day of mountain biking and trail running in this picturesque setting. The course will be an easy, non-technical route, suitable for all skill levels. Just like race 1, we'll have both long and short distance options available, as well as a free short race for kids under 12 who want to join in on the fun.
For those who participated in the first race at Rabbit Island and join us for this second race, you'll be entered into a draw for a chance to win a $250 Brook shoes gift voucher at The Shoe Clinic.
Race Day Timeline
9.00 am Registration and rack bikes
9.45 am Check-in closes. No late check-ins or entries
9.50 am Race briefing (ALL competitors MUST attend the race briefing!)
10.00 am Race Start
After the race, join us at the cafe for the prize-giving ceremony, where finger food will be provided by the club to all competitors and supporters. It's a great opportunity to relax, refuel, and celebrate with your fellow participants.

Long - 3km run / *16 km bike / 3 km run
- Short - 1.5 run / *8km bike / 1.5 km run
*The bike course is suitable for all MTB, Gravel Bikes and Electric MTB's.

Pay online Student U18 non-member ($15) -select this option to pay online and receive School Student (U18) discount.
Pay online Student U18 Tri Club member ($10) -select this option to pay online and receive the U18 School Student club discount. Note you must be a registered member to receive the discount. To become a member go to: Nelson Tri Club Membership for race season 2023/2024 You'll need to confirm your club membership.
Pay at event (bring cash on the day of race) -select this option to pay cash on the day of the race. No discounts for this option.
Note to encourage pre-race entries, race day entries will attract a 50% extra penalty and no discounts apply. If you’re uncertain about whether to compete and wish to avoid the late entry penalty, please enter online, selecting 'Pay at Event' under the Payment option. Should you not compete, no charge will be made.
